Eastside Adventure Boot Camp Common Questions
How
do I sign up now?
Go to the registration
page and download the proper file. Fill out the
appropriate forms and follow the payment instructions. The
sooner you get your registration in, the better we can ensure
you get in the camp you want. Once we've received your registration
information, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.
Remember, each camp sells out. Register early!
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
1.
We will give you an introduction to Adventure Boot
Camp and answer any questions you may have. We will also review
your medical history.
2.
We will take a few simple measurements to see where you are
prior to beginning camp. The actual measurements (number of
inches) don't matter. We want to know how much you improve
during the camp. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison.
These numbers and all other information will be held in the
strictest confidence.
3.
We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage.
Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able to
measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see a
3-8% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks! This
is common.
4.
You will receive your Welcome Packet and Boot Camp T-shirt.
5.
Review Nutrition and set your new Nutrition goals.
6.
See you at camp!
What
do I need to bring to camp?
You will need to bring one set of 5 - 8 lb.
hand weights and an exercise mat. We do not
recommend yoga mats. You will also want to bring water to
keep yourself hydrated during camp and a head lamp. Optional
items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens and
a hat in the winter. Dress in a layered fashion...even if
it is chilly, you will get warm very fast!
What
if I sign up for the three day plan and then want to do all
more days of the camp?
After starting camp, many women realize how fun and convenient
it is so they request to sign up for more days.
In addition, they realize that the more days they attend camp
the greater the results. In these situations, you will simply
be pro-rated from the point you decide to join us for more
days .
Will
I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After
that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process
that lets you improve!
Is
there a diet program included?
Nutrition is on a consultation basis. If interested if is
available on a supporting program basis. Or get nutrition
suggestions and track your progress with dietguru.com.
(Proper Nutrition is crucial
if you are serious about seeing desired results)
What
kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little
push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Some
exercise experience is needed to ensure your safety and a
better flow of class.
What
if I need more individual attention?
One-on-one
personal training sessions are available on a limited basis
and are mostly for Corrective Training
to prepare your body for camp if there are some muscle imbalances
we need to specifically concentrate on. Kelli can give you
more info on rates and times available for such training as
needed: Contact Kimbrough
How do I dress for camp?
Generally a T-shirt and shorts or other workout attire. It
is always advisable to dress in layers for
outdoor exercise.
Is
there a refund policy?
If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out
of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us
prior to your session start date. However, we
will charge a $55.00 cancellation fee. If we are
notified after your session begins, we can only give you a
credit towards another boot camp. This credit is nontransferable.
There is no cash refund. This is not negotiable. If
for some reason a camp day must be postponed by the instructor,
you will be contacted asap and an alternate day will be scheduled
accordingly.
What
is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different
to alleviate boredom. You can expect Pilates, Yoga, some light
running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training
and jumping rope each week. On special days, you will go hiking.
It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach
you a great deal about proper form and "core stability." You
will enjoy a unique fitness experience from the top trainers
in the industry and the creator of the boot camp craze which
has swept the nation.
How
soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three
days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to four weeks
depending on your effort level. It's becoming common to see
a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first camp.
Remember, everyone is different! It's not a competition, so
focus on your individual results and have fun.
Are
there restroom or shower facilities nearby I can get ready
for work?
Yes, there are restrooms. There are no public shower facilities
nearby at this time.
What
will I do after camp is over?
You can get re-measured and tested to show your progress and
success in the program. Many (up to 80%) of the campers return
for a second and even third camp. Some remain committed because
we have so much fun. Is
a diet & nutrition part of the Adventure Boot Camp?
We strongly recommend that all campers enroll in some form
of Nutrition Program for best results. Coming Soon we will
be holding Healthy Cooking
Nights for those interested in other
forms of additional assistance.
What
other events are included or offered?
Since we are located in the beautiful Snoqualmie Valley we
attend many local 5K fun runs throughout the Eastside and
Seattle areas, challenging and exciting hikes, including Mount
Si, Little Si, Rattle Snake Ridge, The Old Winery Connection
Trail and many more. You will receive more details about special
events during the course of camp. Please provide us with your
